i've been ill this weekend.
yesterday, Jonah called at 0630, and i talked to him from 07-0730. we didn't talk about much. he just listed off four movies he saw, and what he thought of them. i remember he saw Borat, and thought it was a little harsh. he saw the new 007, and thought it was better than they have been in a while. i don't remember what the other two were.
i watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets when i got up. i noted how on most of the guys' computers i've seen, they have an anime, in Japanese, English subs, up and viewing or paused. interesting.
Debbie brought me some DVDs and a book from the library (my holds), and i was elated to see some i did not expect. we made homemade taco shells and watched Molly: Girl on the Homefront, and she noted how Molly Ringwald (the mother, not the title Molly) had not been in much, and I noted how Disney Channel should be co-titled MTV-3C (for Children, by Children (exploiting? Children)).

yesterday, i went surfing. it was a blast-and-a-half. my friends and i hopped a bus to mission beach (my first beach xp in sunny CA), and i had to re-learn myself how to balance. i'm getting better, but i can tell that my strength and balance are, unfortunately, both diminished. i have been able to tell this for a while.
before we actually went surfing, we went shopping, and they got some stuff. i was going to buy another board, but i wouldn't have anywhere to keep it, so i just rented one.
then, we all ate at Canes, which was great, and i got to watch the first part of the Florida/Tennessee game. lots of fun all day.
today, all i've been doing is setting up this site and playing on the computer. i tried to get to a church, but there is no chapel on base, and besides San Diego Assembly, which I emailed, I'm not familiar with any, and want to wait until i arrange reliable transportation.
loving it in San-D.
